Set at the confines of the Bouches du Rhône and the Vaucluse, Noves is an ideal base from where to explore the great many tourist sites in the vicinity: Avignon is 10 minutes away, and the Alpilles and the Luberon are also very close. Horse market and second hand goods early November. Bull races and corrida games on 15 August. At Paluds-de-Noves, in late August, there is giant aïoli populaire, and encierro (bulls running loose through the streets).
